Among its many treasures, smoothie bowls have emerged as a must-try indulgence for those seeking both nourishment and an aesthetic experience. Instagram has revolutionized how we discover new destinations and flavors, transforming meals into experiences to share with the world.

I am constantly on the search for the most delicious – and of course Instagrammable – smoothie bowls the world has to offer. And I might have discovered Bali´s ultimate one – in Ubud. Watch the video below and follow me on my journey across Ubud to uncover the ultimate smoothie bowl — one that blends taste, presentation, and that undeniable Instagram-worthy magic.

Let´s get to the search…

Nestled in the lush, green heart of Bali, Ubud is a haven of tranquility and natural beauty. Surrounded by terraced rice fields that cascade down the hillsides like emerald staircases, this artistic town is a sanctuary for travelers seeking a connection to nature, culture and spirituality.

The mornings in Ubud are magical. Golden sunlight filters through swaying palm trees, and the air hums with the calls of birds and insects. It’s a place that invites exploration, and on this particular day, my mission was clear: to find the perfect smoothie bowl.

My journey began with a walk through the Campuhan Ridge. The trail, flanked by rolling hills and dotted with coconut palms an lively wildflowers, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

After, I found myself drawn to the vibrant streets of Ubud’s center. After wandering through the lively Ubud Market, I made my way to Mudra Cafe. Upon entering, I was greeted by a tranquil atmosphere, delicate decor, natural lighting and the hum of conversation mingling with the sound of the Bali steel Handpan, accompanied by a beautiful jungle view.

The menu at Mudra is a celebration of fresh, local ingredients, and offers artisanal coffee and Ayurvedic food. But it was the granola bowl that caught my eye, more precisely the dragon fruit smoothie bowl.

I have never seen a more aesthetic looking smoothie bowl, and the taste was also divine. Each spoonful was delicious—crunchy granola mingling with the sweetness of tropical fruits. Sitting there, savoring each bite, I realized this wasn’t just a meal; it was a celebration of Ubud’s essence—its connection to the earth, its vibrant artistry, and its ability to nourish both body and soul.
